In 1991the Andrei and Sanda Lutic children and grandchildren raised monies to build a “Bordei” in their memory. The ground was excavated, trees were cut and hauled from the John J. Toma farm and the majority from the Mike G. Toma farm. The building of the bordei was done by Sandy Lutic with assistance from Len Lutic, other family members and some hired help. Sanda Lutic (nee Esak) was raised in a bordei when she first came to Canada as a child.
